      • Teen Suicide is 4 times more common then it was 15 years ago
      • 1 out of 4 high school students will seriously consider suicide
    • Why is the teen suicide rate going up?
      • Parents don’t think anything is wrong so they don’t help
      • Parents think it is just their kids over-reacting to drama when they are depressed so they don’t help
      • One young person commits suicide every two hours
    • What are signs of suicide risk?
      • Heavy drinking
      • Eating disorders
      • Obsession with death
      • Suicide threats
      • Big drop in grades
      • Feel hopeless
      • Feel worthless

    • What is the reason most kids commit suicide?
      • Low self esteem

      • Parents don’t want to believe their kid needs help
      • When their kid gets bullied they don’t think it’s a big deal
