  • 2. KGIC has been running international Summer Theme Camps for kids and teens for the past 10 years in the Greater Vancouver Regional District, BC.
    • Students who joined our
    • camps in previous years
    • enjoyed to be
    • Young English Scientists,
    • Young English Entertainers ,
    • and Global Time Travelers…
  • 3. Summer 2008 “PIC UP THE MIC”
    • Age group: Kids: 8-12 & Juniors: 13 – 16
    • Dates: July 14 to August 1, July 28 to August 28
    • Accommodation: Homestay
    • Transportation: Daily pick up and drop off if in a KGIC homestay.
    • Location: Sands Secondary school ( Delta School board)
  • 4. KGIC’s staff is experienced
    • Service
    • KGIC provides various services to the children, parents and group leaders to ensure that the students are supervised at any given time and that our staff can be reached at any time (24 hours , 7 days a week) during the program.
    • Teachers
    • Many of KGIC’s summer camp teachers are returning Canadian public school teachers, who,in their summer break, enjoy teaching and working with international children.
    • Canadian Students
    • Each year we also have Canadian kids participating in the afternoon activities. This allows our international students to make friends with a native English speaker. We have a ratio of approximately 1 Canadian student for every 7 international students.

    • Week 1: Broadcasting 101
    • Students will learn how to write and deliver a speech.
    • Week 2: Becoming a Radio Broadcaster
    • Students will learn what it takes to be on the radio, produce and star in their own podcast and then upload it onto our Summer Program Blog.
    • Week 3: Becoming a TV Newscaster
    • Students will create their very own newscast! The newscast will be recorded on video and uploaded onto the KGIC Summer Program Blog.
  • 6. OUTINGS
    • An Overnight Camping trip
    • A trip to Science World B.C.
    • A day trip to Victoria
    • A day spent at the Waterslides
    • Vancouver City tour
    • Playland
    • Grouse Mountain
    • Burnaby Village Museum
    • … and much more
  • 7. Homestay  Our homestay families are carefully selected and have been with us for many years. Furthermore, these homestay families will drop the students off and pick them up (after school and outings in the afternoon) every day in order to ensure supervision at all times.
