Standard wire sizes will be from 12 1/2 Smooth Tension Wiregauge to 6 gauge, other sizes can be ordered bycustomer specification. Coatings on the wire canbe zinc coated (commercial, class I, class III, classIV, or class V), PVC coating over zinc coated wire,or aluminized coated wire.BASIC USESouthwestern Wire, Inc. coiled wire can be usedfor vineyard wire, electric fence wire, crimpedtension wire & smooth tension wire.PRODUCTIONMaterial is tracked from rod to wire for specifica-tion adherence and quality assurance. By drawing Crimped Tension Wirethe wire from steel rod we control the gauge toinsure the specifications of the customer are met.Once drawn, the wire travels through an acid bath. The acid cleans any impurities from the wireallowing a more secure bond between wire andcoating. This provides a longer lasting product thatcontinually resists peeling and corrosion whilemaintaining a new appearance year after year. Strand wire galvanizing is a coatingprocess that creates a smooth, uniform coating thatprotects the steel from rust and corrosion. Thisuniform layer of zinc or aluminum provides thenecessary defense against the harsh elements ofnature over a longer period of time. Southwestern Wire Inc. 1-800-348-9473 SDSCW 1/05-1
