  • 1. TRUST: LETTING GO
    • “ I do not fear failure. What I fear is being successful in things that really do not matter.”
  • 2. TRUST: LETTING GO
    • “ Now behold, one came and said to Him, good Teacher, what good thing must I do that I may have eternal life?” So He said to him, ”Why do you call Me good? There is only One who is good, that is, God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.”
  • 3. TRUST: LETTING GO
    • He said to Him, “Which one?” Jesus said, “You shall not murder, You shall not commit adultery, You shall not steal, You shall not bear false witness, Honor your father and your mother, and You shall love your neihgbor as yourself.”
  • 4. TRUST: LETTING GO
    • The young man said to Him, “All these have I kept from my youth. What do I still lack?” Jesus said to him, “If you want to be perfect, go sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven, and come follow Me.”
  • 5. TRUST: LETTING GO
    • But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions.
    • Matthew 19:16-22
  • 6. TRUST: LETTING GO
    • Trust is letting go of the comfortable and grasping hold of the uncontrollable.
    • It is saying “YES” to faith.
  • 7. TRUST: LETTING GO
    • Trust is willing to fail at what the eye of your heart says, rather than being successful in things that really do not matter eternally.
    • “ What things were gain to me, I have counted loss for Christ.”
    • Philippians 3:7
