  • 3. Alcohol can become more than a depressant drug, it can become a disease
  • 4. It is the most commonly used drug by kids between the ages of twelve and seventeen</li></li></ul><li>Causes of Alcohol and Drug Abuse<br /><ul><li>Many drink alcohol because they like the way it makes them feel
  • 5. Some drink to escape from life's hardship's much like today
  • 6. Peer pressure, unhappiness, and major illness are the main reasons people drink</li></li></ul><li>Symptoms of Alcohol and Drug Abuse<br /><ul><li>Changes in hobbies and activities may occur
  • 7. Sudden temper tantrums or resentful behavior
  • 8. Overall change in personaliy and attitude</li></li></ul><li>Treatment of Alcohol and Drug Abuse<br /><ul><li>Behavior treatment can be used to help patients engage in treatment process
  • 9. Medications can be used to help re-establish normal brain functions and prevent relapse and diminish cravings
