Summer Youth Camp - Perfect Fit Summer Youth Camp - Perfect Fit Presentation Transcript

  • Summer Youth Camp - Perfect Fit Our goal in life is not to try to fit ourselves into another person's mold, but discover our own place. www.CreativeYouthIdeas.com www.CreativeScavengerHunts.com
  • Needed For each group you will need forks, knives, spoons, and a silverware tray with compartments molded to the shape of each utensil. Add extra miscellaneous tools that don’t fit in the silverware tray. Alternatively, you can use a tool box that has plastic molds conforming to the shapes of the tools. www.CreativeYouthIdeas.com www.CreativeScavengerHunts.com
  • Activity • Let the groups or individuals compete to be the first to place all the items in the correct compartments. • You might choose to have more than one attempt to see if they can speed up their times. • Award the group with the fastest time. www.CreativeYouthIdeas.com www.CreativeScavengerHunts.com
  • Linking ideas 1. Ecclesiastes 2:1-24; The silverware fits right into the spaces provided in this tray, but if we try to put a hammer or screwdriver in the compartments they don’t fit. Discuss how King Solomon also tried to fill in the holes in his life with pieces that didn’t fit. That’s because only God can fill the voids in our lives. www.CreativeYouthIdeas.com www.CreativeScavengerHunts.com
  • 2. Blaise Pascal said that inside every man there is a god shaped vacuum that only God can fill. We can try to fill that void in our lives with many things, but only God will bring us contentment and happiness. Only those things of God will truly fit and make us complete. 3. We are each created with different tools and spiritual gifts. Our goal in life is not to try to fit ourselves into another person’s mold, but discover our own place. www.CreativeYouthIdeas.com www.CreativeScavengerHunts.com
  • Bible Studies based on the book of Jonah Only. This youth camp curriculum was designed to teach the basic truths of obedience in addition to evangelism in the context of a Biblical character. The advantage of going through a book and looking at one man's story is that we see not only the teaching but the example. It becomes much more real! • Creative Youth Ideas Camp Bible Study Series “Who Do You Say that I AM?” www.creativeyouthideas.com/resources/whodoyousay.html -> Tell me about “Who Do You Say that I AM?” Jesus asked the disciples, "Who do others say that I am?" It was easy to answer because it required no conviction, no commitment, and no risk. But then he follows that question with another, "Who do YOU say that I am?" www.CreativeYouthIdeas.com
  • Live the Fruitful, Abundant Life Jesus Promised. Great for youth camps or weekly Youth Bible Study. There are 7 Primary Bible study Sessions in the series. www.creativeyouthideas.com/resources/fruitofthespirit.html -> Tell me about “Fruit Of the Spirit” Creative Youth Ideas Youth Camp Bible Study Series “Fruit Of the Spirit” www.CreativeYouthIdeas.com
  • "The Great Adventure" is western themed Bible study series loosely based around the song of the same name by Steven Curtis Chapman. It was initially written for a large Texas Church to use for their Summer Youth Camp but has since then proven popular around the world.
