  • 1. At a Republican fundraising event earlier this week, actor Jon Voight said, “Let’s bring an end to this false prophet, Obama.”
  • 2. Are false prophets so bad they must have an end brought unto them? According to the Bible… yes. Deuteronomy commands us to “purge the evil from among you.”
  • 3. That’s because a prophet is someone who speaks the will of God. But whether someone talks to God can be hard to verify, so the risk of false prophecy is always there.
  • 4. The Book of Revelations says a False Prophet will arise at the end of days, so you can see why calling the president a false prophet makes some people a little jumpy.
  • 5. One man’s false prophet is another man’s prophet. Take Joseph Smith, for example.
  • 6. Smith claims the word of God was revealed to him on golden tablets he found buried in upstate New York. For thirteen million Mormons, that’s all they need to know.
  • 7. So, is President Obama a False Prophet? According to Revelations, the False Prophet will not regard “the desire of women.” In other words, he’s gay. So far, no one has said Obama is gay.
  • 8. As for Jon Voight, after his D.C. speech he did Bill O’Reilly’s show. So when it comes to false prophets, he may not be the best judge.
