Slide 2: Privacy  Although email is a revolutionary invention, it still has some flaws.

Slide 3: Privacy  Most emails are not encrypted, so can be hacked  Email has to go through another computer to reach you, so it may be intercepted and read

Slide 4: Privacy  Your internet service provider stores copies of emails you have received which may be read if required permission  Headers and forwarded messages can reveal your email address to anyone that receives the message

Slide 5: Privacy  So, in fact, email is not very ‘private’ at all.

Slide 6: Etiquette  What are the unwritten rules of the net?

Slide 7: DON’T FLAME  Don’t flame. Flaming is using insulting language to show your anger. It will get you in trouble.

Slide 8: DON’T SPAM  Spamming is sending messages with inappropriate or useless content multiple times to people you don’t know

Slide 9: DON’T SHOUT  TYPING IN ALL CAPS INDICATES YOU ARE SHOUTING AND ARE ANGRY!!!!

Slide 10: Summary  If you don’t flame, spam, or shout, you should be alright on the net.
