Slide 2: Privacy Although email is a revolutionary invention, it still has some flaws.
Slide 3: Privacy Most emails are not encrypted, so can be hacked Email has to go through another computer to reach you, so it may be intercepted and read
Slide 4: Privacy Your internet service provider stores copies of emails you have received which may be read if required permission Headers and forwarded messages can reveal your email address to anyone that receives the message
Slide 5: Privacy So, in fact, email is not very ‘private’ at all.
Slide 6: Etiquette What are the unwritten rules of the net?
Slide 7: DON’T FLAME Don’t flame. Flaming is using insulting language to show your anger. It will get you in trouble.
Slide 8: DON’T SPAM Spamming is sending messages with inappropriate or useless content multiple times to people you don’t know
Slide 9: DON’T SHOUT TYPING IN ALL CAPS INDICATES YOU ARE SHOUTING AND ARE ANGRY!!!!
Slide 10: Summary If you don’t flame, spam, or shout, you should be alright on the net.
