• Twitter Handle: A Twitter account name that starts with the @ sign
• Tweet: A 140-character or fewer message (includes spaces) sent from
your Twitter account
• Feed: The main screen which shows all of followings latest tweets
• Followers: People who have subscribed to your tweets
• Following: People who you follow your Twitter account

• Retweet (RT): When you share what someone else has tweeted with your
followers. The retweet retains the handle of the original user, but also
mentions that you retweeted it
- Modified Tweet (MT): A Retweet but the tweet has been modified
• Mention: When you want to include (mention) or engage directly with
someone on Twitter
- Ex. What a great conference this year, great job @SLAhq

• Direct Messages (DM): Private messages sent directly to another Twitter
user
• Hashtag (#): A way to index, or group, content in the Twitterverse
• Interactions: New Followers, Retweets, Mentions, Direct Messages
• Lists: A curated group of Twitter users and a great way to organize your
interests.
