        • weather shocks, more meat consumption?
        • shifts to bio-fuel crops?

        • is a cause of death for over 3.5 million children a year.

    • The nearly billion malnourished people in OUR world could be lifted
    • out of hunger with less than a quarter of the food wasted globally.
    • The hunger of 1.5 Billion people could be alleviated by eradicating:-
        • Fruits-Veg. & Dairy food wasted by Retailers, food services & at OUR homes.
        • Crops such as wheat, maize & soy to produce the wasted meat & dairy foods.
Food waste costs every household in the UK between £250 & £400 a year Producing & Distributing the 6.7m tonnes of edible food that goes uneaten & into waste in the UK also accounts for 18m tonnes of CO2.
  • 13. Thought for Food … continued
    • The production of wasted food squanders resources & the irrigation
    • water equivalent to domestic water needs of 9 Billion people.
