  2. 2. Signing Up<br />You will need to sign up if you wish to be an ‘active’ member of Youtube<br />Go to www.youtube.com<br />Click on ‘Create Account’<br />
  3. 3. Signing Up<br />Follow the prompts on the current page<br />Search for an available user name<br />Click on ‘I Accept’<br />
  4. 4. How To Watch A Video<br />After creating your account, you are free to share and view any video that is available on the website<br />Simply click on the text box that is located at the top of the web page<br />Type in a keyword or video name<br />Select ‘search’ (or press ‘enter’)<br />
  5. 5. Watching The Video<br />Your browser will need a flash player plug-in to watch videos<br />This flash feature will allow you to scrub, play and pause the videos<br />You can even click an icon to go ‘full-screen’ <br />
  6. 6. Commenting<br />Youtube members are permitted to comment and discuss a video<br />Discussion is carried out directly underneath the video<br />Click on the text box and type your discussion<br />Press ‘enter’ to post comment<br />
  7. 7. Uploading Videos<br />Click on ‘Upload’, it is located directly next to the search box<br />Proceed to the next page<br />
  8. 8. Uploading (continued)<br />After proceeding to the next page, click on ‘upload video’ again<br />A new window will pop up, which will allow you to browse and select from your hard drive, the video you wish to upload <br />
  9. 9. Video Subscriptions<br />A Youtube member is allowed to ‘subscribe’ to any other user<br />The user will be notified of any new uploads from the subscription<br />Go to a video and click on ‘subscribe’ – It’s as easy as that!<br />
  10. 10. Youtube Channel<br />Youtube users are allocated a page dedicated for their username – these pages are called ‘Youtube Channels’<br />They are able to customize the aesthetics of their ‘Youtube Channel’<br />Click on ‘edit’ and customize your web page to what ever sees you fit<br />
