  • GEC OLD WEBSITE
  • The target audiences are more likely to be in school – high school, university/college, grad school, or a recent graduate.  Understanding the potential size of the site down the road (both in terms of traffic and in terms of amount of university courses to be offered) was helpful in providing context for identifying the target audience.Psycho graphically, customers could be generally identified as:Lovers of music, all things retro or counterculture, as well as ironic or ‘smart’ humour; self-focused individuals, concerned with personal appearance; and the importance of self-expression.Based on the above I make the following recommendations, which represent project milestones/ iterations: 
  • From my findings, the overall goals focus on: Improving design and functionality of the site Increasing the customer base Increasing product selection (university courses).
  • Understanding the potential size of the site down the road (both in terms of traffic and in terms of amount of university courses to be offered) was helpful in providing context for identifying the target audience.
  • Social media can be related to storytelling which is one of the oldest forms of word of mouth communication and this appears to be what marketing via Facebook is. Unless filtered properly, it will become very vague with value it can bring.The following features will be used to filter users, interaction, traffic and data from social networks:Using Facebook connect for registration and authentication - this will help control and define the destiny of users.An example of this is displayed below:
