  • 1.  Plagiarism is when you take another persons facts, images, or information and make it your own You basically take credit for their work People often plagiarize when writing essays or when looking up information about someone People fail to cite the resources and where and who the information came from
  • 2.  People take plagiarism seriously…it is a serious matter If your caught plagiarizing you can go to jail If your in school you can get expelled If your in college you can get kicked out Any jobs that you get caught plagiarizing in is probably going to result in getting fired or in some kind of trouble
  • 3.  To avoid Plagiarizing you can……. Cite the Resources at the end of your presentation If you use a quote or information that you copy from someone else, put it in quotations and cite who/where it came from Don’t copy any information word for word Read the information and summarize it in your own words
  • 4.  Netiquette is how you should behave on the internet Sometimes you act bad towards other people on the internet It could also be the way you say or express things Netiquette is basically how you behave on the internet the things you do and how you do them
  • 5.  Do Not write your sentences In ALL CAPITAL letters! Don’t be rude Help new people Don’t use inappropriate language Be nice and appropriate Have a positive attitude towards others
  • 6.  Copyrighting is where you make something and legally have it published as yours When you make something it’s automatically yours…but to copyright it, it has to be published or printed by law When your picture, information, website etc… is copyrighted no one can use it Its stated as yours, you own it
  • 7.  If you use someones copyrighted items….. They can sew you You could possibly go to jail Using something copyrighted is like plagiarism It’s using someone else’s work without permission If it’s copyrighted you can’t use it
