What is Plagiarism? According to kidshealth.org, plagiarism is stealing aperson’s ideas or writing.
You wouldn’t steal a person’sbookbag or money, right? Well itisn’t right to take their thoughts, words, or ideas either! Theybelong to them just like abookbag or money does.
So what do you do?• If you want to use someone’s ideas, thoughts, or words….. • Just give them CREDIT!• You can do this by listing the author’s name, the title, and when it was published.• Even if you use your own words to tell about someone else’s idea, you need to give them credit.
If you are not sure whetheryou are plagiarizing or not, ask your teacher or media specialist for help! Images from Office.com
