Queensland memory: today for tomorrow Objective: Increase visibility of SLQ online content Earlier this year, the State Library of Queensland became the is the 19th cultural institution to participate in The Commons on Flickr, joining such organisations as the Library of Congress, the State Library of NSW and the National Galleries of Scotland.

The Commons on Flickr The Picture Queensland images uploaded to The Commons show a glimpse of Queensland life through the themes of early Australian aviation, the Queensland house, famous visitors to Queensland, sport and recreation and more. http://www.flickr.com/photos/statelibraryqueensland/sets/
    6. The Commons on Flickr A few stats…. • 350 images • 190 000 views • Average 600-700 view per day • Approx. half have comments and/or notes • Approx. half have been called “favourites”

Hosted around the globe, by members of The Commons. Anzac Day image upload – Australian and New Zealand members of The Commons share photographs of the campaign in Gallipoli and subsequent Anzac Day events on Flickr.
