This August, enjoy the beautiful mele of Hawaii, the Hawaiian word for music or chants, with unforgettable performances by some of the most legendary Hawaiian musical groups.
• Enjoy beautiful music by the sea on August 8 at the Waikiki Aquarium featuring Makaha Sons. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., concert starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $45, keiki tickets are $15 and dinner is available for purchase.
• The Honolulu Zoo’s “Wildest Show in Town” Summer concert series continues with performances on August 7 and 14. Doors open at 4:35 p.m., concert starts at 6 p.m. Tickets are $3.
• The 31st Annual Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar Festival kicks off at Kapiolani Park on August 18 from 12-6 p.m. Admission is free.
