  • 1. Introduction To JV GiveawaysWhat Are JV Giveaways?Giveaways are one of the commonest methodsmarketers are currently using to build their lists. Most Giveaways arent as good as they used to be and ittakes a while to get a good system working thatmaximises your results,Whilst I have gained 100s of subscribers in a couple ofevents, some have resulted in less than 10.
  • 2. What Are JV Giveaways?I know a lot of you will already be familiar with JVGiveaways, but Ill just go over the details so thateveryone is at the same level.A JV Giveaway event consists of two stages:First of all people are invited to sign up for theevent and to add their own free gift (or gifts). In the second stage members signup to the eventand then can sign up for any of the gifts theywant.
  • 3. JV Giveaways – How They Work? The idea of the event is simply to add people toyour subscriber list - they have to opt-in todownload your gift.Normally you will have to promote the event andget at least one person signing up via your links oryour account will be downgraded and your gift willbe removed.
  • 4. JV Giveaways – ContributorsTo become a contributor you will need to sign upvia an invitation link. You can get this via PushButton Giveaways, on my blog, or by being on thelist of someone who takes part in a lot of events. After entering you details, some events willrequire you to click an activation link. After that you will normally be offered an upselland a downsell which are options to upgrade youraccount.
  • 5. Upgrading Your AccountThe price of upgrading varies a lot betwendifferent events starting at $1 and going all theway up to $97.Its fairly common to have the upsell or firstupgrade at around $17, then the downsell(second level upgrade) at $7.I tend to upgrade in them all but when you firststart out you will probably be fairly selective.
  • 6. Upgrade FeaturesWhat you get for your money varies with differentevents, but Ill give you an example:Free Account1 Gift, 50% CommissionUpgrade 2 (eg $7)Three Gifts, 2 Special Offers, 3 Text Adverts, 75% CommissionUpgrade 1 (eg $17)Five gifts, 2 Special Offers, 5 Text Adverts, 100% Commission
  • 7. Setting Up Your AccountHeres a summary of what weve done so far:1) Signed up for the event2) Activated account (if required)3) Optional account upgradeThe next steps are:4) Setting Up Your Profile5) Adding Your Gifts6) Adding Your Text Adverts7) Adding Your Special Offers
  • 8. Setting Up Your ProfileYour profile contains details including your paypalemail (so you get paid commission), your photoetc.PBG will setup all of this for you in two clicks(apart from browsing for the photo before upload)
  • 9. Adding Your GiftsAdding gifts is fairly simple once you have setthem up.You will need a title, description, picture, squeezepage and download page (as well as the actualproduct of course)PBG will setup all of this for you in two clicks(apart from browsing for the gift picture beforeupload)
  • 10. Adding Your Text AdvertsAdding Text Adverts is similar to adding gifts. You will need a title, description, display Url anddestination URL.You dont need your own product – you can send peopleto an affiliate offer (its best to send them to a squeezepage and build a list, but you dont have to).Note: Dont just put in the Url – use a call to action.PBG will setup all of this for you in two clicks
  • 11. Adding Your Special OffersAdding Special Offers again is mostly a one-offsetup, then repeating a simple process each timeyou join a Giveaway. You will need a title, price, sales page anddownload page.Using your own product is best (unique, brandingetc), but you could use a resell rights product.Have an optin form on the download page as thiswill build you a buyers list.PBG will setup special offers for you in two clicks
  • 12. Promoting The EventMany giveaways will downgrade you if you dontpromote the event. Promoting normally meansgetting at least one sign up through your link. Each signup you get will also get you pointswhich determine how high your gift ranks. This is very important as if you rank high you havea greater chance of signups.
  • 13. Promotion MethodsAny traffic can be used to promote a giveaway.Personally I havent had good results from Twitteror Facebook, but if you have a targetted list andsocial media is you expertise then you can makeit work.I use a targetted email list and pages on my blog.Emails and the blog list are generate by PBG.PBG also has a link rotator built in - if you are thefirst person to suggest a giveaway you areguaranteed a signup since I join every event!
