    • Free Canadian Credit Report And Score Follow these step by step instructions to get your credit report in minutes absolutely free! Do you want access to your credit report at no charge? It's really free, no catch! Here's the thing, you'll be signing up for a free trial membership with Privacy Protection Plus which offers credit monitoring services among other things. Included with your membership is a gift certificate for a free credit report through TransUnion. After receiving your credit report you may cancel your Privacy Protection Plus membership by calling a toll free telephone number, and you will not be billed for the membership after the trial period. You may even want to stay a member but it's completely not necessary. This works.. I tried it for myself to be sure and I had zero hassles. 1) Visit the Canadian Credit Report website by clicking here. The steps that follow are for Canadian residents only but if you are from the U.S. you can use this link. 2) Fill in the form (name, email, postal code) and click the “Get It Now” button. 3) Fill in the next form (address, city, province) and click the “Submit & Continue” button. 4) Fill in the next form (name on credit card, credit card type, card number, expiry date, email address) and click “View Report”. Remember, your card will not be charged... it is for your free trial Privacy Protection Plus membership if you choose to continue with it. 5) You will be given a membership ID and link to login to the Privacy Protection Plus membership website. Make note of the ID and then click the link. Note: You will also be given the toll free phone number to call if/when you want to cancel your membership. If you plan to cancel make sure you do within a few days. I believe the tiral only lasts a week. Here's the number to call to cancel in case you missed it: 1-866-444-1837. 6) Login to Privacy Plus with your membership ID and postal code. 7) Click the “Credit Reporting” link near the top. 8) Click the “Online Credit Profile, Score and Monitoring” link from the left. 9) Beneath the heading on the right side that says “Sign up for online credit report, score and monitoring today!” click the link that says “click here”.
    • 10) Make note of your TransUnion Gift Certificate Code which entitles you to the free credit report. 11) Click on the “Click here” link that is in Step 1 on that page which will bring you the TransUnion website. 12) Enter in the gift code. There are 4 boxes for the code, just enter 4 digits into each box. 13) Fill out the remaining information with your personal data. As you are filling it out you will see a cost of around $30 being carried through the process. You will not have to pay that as you will see near the last step. You will need account numbers for 2 of your credit accounts, whether it be a credit card or student loan or car loan, etc. That information will be used to verify your identity. You may also provide a previous street address and postal code. If you remember your street address but not the postal code you can get it here. (Canada Post website) That's it! Look through your credit report and check your score. Don't forget to cancel your membership with Privacy Protection Plus if you don't plan to use it. Great info eh? Pass it on...
