Thales of Miletus proved that any triangle inscribed in a semicircle will be a right triangle. <br />Given a circle of radius a and a smaller circle of radius b = 1/2a, find the ratio of the areas of the triangles ABC and DEC. Both triangles have altitudes intersecting their base at 1/4 the length of their bases. <br />h1 = (b (b + a))^.5 <br />h2 = (1/2 (1/2 b + b))^.5 <br />
