4. The Schlieffen Plan

with France.
5. Total War
Total War is when the entire
resources, effort, and population of
a country are concentrated on
conducting the war so as to bring as
much force to bear in as many areas
as possible.
The Stalemate was the basically the
trench warfare.
Trenches were dug by both sides in
the war. The war made it to where
both sides had casualties and deaths
everyday, but neither side were
gaining any land, so there wasn't
anybody really winning. They just hid
in their trenches and shot at any
sign of life.
6. Key battles of WW1
The first Battle of the Marne was in the Marne River, near Paris,
France. It was between the Allies and the German Army, the Allies
ended up winning this one. This war ended the month long German
Offensive.
The second battle of the Marne was in the Aisne-Marne area. It was
between the last German offensive and the first allied offensive,
the Allies one this one too.
The Battle at Gallipoli was one of the pivotal points of
Australian military history.
The Battle of Somme was a battle in 1816 that was between Britain
and France being the offensive, against Germany in the Somme
River.
The Battle of Verdun was fought in Verdun-sur-Meuse, France in
1916. It was fought between the German and French armies, France
ended up winning.
7. Bolshevik Revolution
The Bolshevik Revolution was when
they got rid of the old Russian
Government in 1917.
It was a political revolution and
part of the Russian Revolution.
During this revolution, Bolshevik
red guard began to take over some
of the governments buildings and
soon enough took control of the
capital of Russia.
8. U.S Entry Into the
War
On April 6, 1917, the United States joined Britain,
Russia and France in fight in the world war.
They entered because of the Zimmerman Telegram and The
sinking of the ship Lusitania which was sunk by
Germans.
The president was Woodrow Wilson.
