What is the structure?
Forming the present perfect tense
I You We They (Plural Noun) He She It (Singular Noun) Have (NOT) Has (NOT) + past participle (e.g. sung, gone, completed) + past participle (e.g. sung, gone, completed)

When do we use it?
the time period has not finished:
Siti and Ali have seen three movies this week.
(This week has not finished yet.)
He has met the counsellor three times today.
(Today has not finished yet.)

When do we use it?
2. the time is not mentioned (usually recent):
They have bought a new guitar for the club.
(A specific time is not mentioned)
Connie has submitted the assignment .
(A specific time is not mentioned)

When do we use it?
3. For continuing/changing situations ( for & since ):
Kamal has lived here for 20 years.
His English has improved since he moved to Australia.
(This is a state/situation that started in the past and continues in the present and will probably continue into the future)
