Jehovahswitnesses

  1. 1.  Jehovah‟s Witnesses are Christians who believe that the Bible is God‟s word and that Jesus is their Savior.
  2. 2.  The modern-day organization of Jehovah‟s Witnesses began at the end of the 19th century. At that time, a small group of Bible students who lived near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in the United States, began a systematic analysis of the Bible. Among that group of sincere Bible students was a man named Charles Taze Russell. While Russell took the lead in the Bible education work at that time and was the first editor of The Watchtower, he was not the founder of a new religion. Since Jesus is the Founder of Christianity, they view him as the founder of their organization.
  3. 3.  They believe the Bible is Gods Word and is truth Gods name is Jehovah. Gods Son and is inferior to Him Christ died on a stake, not a cross.
  4. 4. God will accomplish his original purpose for the earth: free of crime sickness, death and povertyTransforming earth into a paradise.
  5. 5.  Their holy book is the holy bible. They consider the Bible to be the source of truth and the basis for all their beliefs. They also have an awake and watchtower. Which are just publicatios , used at meetings and are given at doors to spread their faith.
  6. 6.  Jehovah‟s witnesses believe you do not go to heaven nor ‟hell‟ well , at least the common definition of it . „Hell is not a place of fiery eternal torment.‟. Although they do believe in „Hell‟ (Sheol) Hell to them is mans common grave. Death is a state of sleep until resurrection for the judgment The soul that sins will die but the righteous will live The soul will die also when someone dies, therefore the soul is not immortal Not everyone will resurrect, only those chosen by Jehovah.
  7. 7.  No. Many millions who lived in centuries past and who weren‟t Jehovah‟s Witnesses will have an opportunity for salvation. The Bible explains that in God‟s promised new world, “there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.” (Acts 24:15) Additionally, many now living may yet begin to serve God, and they too will gain salvation. In any case, it‟s not our job to judge who will or won‟t be saved. That assignment rests squarely in Jesus‟ hands.—John 5:22, 27.
  8. 8.  Jehovah‟s witnesses are monotheistic . They believe in only one God .
  9. 9.  236—Lands where Jehovah‟s Witnesses preach 540—Languages in which we publish Bibles and Bible- based literature 109,403—Congregations 7,395,672—Ministers who teach the Bible 19,000,000—People who attend their meetings or conventions 166,000,000—Bibles published by Jehovah‟s Witnesses in 108 languages 20,000,000,000—Pieces of Bible-based literature published by Jehovah‟s Witnesses over the past ten years
  10. 10.  Jesus told his followers to “make disciples of people of all the nations.” (Matthew 28:19, 20) When he sent out his early disciples, Jesus directed them to go to the homes of the people. (Matthew 10:7, 11-13) After Jesus‟ death, first- century Christians continued to spread their message both “publicly and from house to house.”

Jehovahs Witnesses do not celebrate many of the major holidays because they have a common theme: They appeal to fleshly desires and promote false religious beliefs and spirit-ism. Many holidays are based on pagan customs, celebrations.
