3G and Mobile Gaming
The entire mobile ecosystem eagerly awaits the implementation of 3G and the promise of better, faster network.
For the Mobile gaming industry 3G spells two main offerings :
High data transfer rates
Larger band width
Both of which are basic requirements for downloading and accessing Quality games [heavier files].
Post 3G a user can expect to download games faster and without any interruptions
At the other end 3G would also generate a renewed interest amongst developer community to develop games which are more engaging and provides better gaming experience to the users.
For the device manufacturers, to keep up, it would mean introducing devices with higher processing speeds, larger screens, audio and memory.
With 3G, we expect not just the increase in the number of users but also a significant increase in the time total spent per user on mobile gaming.
