  • Informate Mobile Tracker : Methodology
    • SmartPhone users are recruited using purposive sampling as per the quota plan View slide
    • Quota plan based on tele-circle (representative cities within each circle), age range, gender spread, handset price range & available service operator View slide
    • On successful registration & installation of the SmartMeter, his/her profile data is collected
    • The meter starts tracking the usage and Actual usage data of every panelist is captured and is transferred through GPRS to the server, on a daily basis
    • Captured actual usage of applications/ features etc., are analyzed at the aggregate level to understand behavior and track usage patterns

    Top cricket based sites on Reach – comparison

    Pre IPL week
    IPLT20 and Cricinfo site continues to be the top accessed sites for IPL.
    Though not much change seen at the top two growth seen for many sites in the second week especially for Cricbuzz- which now takes the third position.

    Amongst cricket sites the overall share of pageviews for Cricinfo continues to grow.

    A steady growth in overall reach of “Sports sites” seen over the IPL weeks.

    • For the Second week of IPL 19-25th March ‘10, based on reach, the top three sites for Cricket at the overall
    level are IPLT20, Cricinfo and Cricbuzz site.
    • Cricinfo followed by IPLT20 was the top two sites in the age group 36-40 yrs.

    Reach (%): Percent of total universe accounted for by total application users during the report month

    Crickzenga and Cricinfo mobicast are the two most popular cricket based applications for the IPL.
    Younger age group [less than 18 yrs] show higher reach comparatively for both the top applications.
