  • Parent should teach your child to be assertive in expressing his or her feelings, they should know how to identify bullying behaviors. Encourage them for taking the brave step of reporting that incident and console them that things will get better, and that you will always be there when they need you.   2. 2. BULLYING <ul><li>BULLYING HAS BEEN A PROBLEM FOR A LONG TIME. </li></ul><ul><li>PLACES BULLYING HAPPENS IS IN SCHOOLS. NOT ONLY DOES BULLYING HAPPEN IN SCHOLS BUT ALSO ONLINE. WHEN HAPPENING ONLINE IT IS CALLED CYBER BULLYING. </li></ul>
  3. 3. DEFINITION <ul><li>BULLYING: </li></ul>A BLUSTERING, QUARRELSOME, OVERBEARING PERSON WHO HABITUALLY BADGERS AND INTIMIDATES SMALLER OR WEAKER PEOPLE. HAZING: SUBJECTION TO HARASSMENT OR RIDICULE .
  4. 4. <ul><li>BULLYING AND HAZING BOTH TAKE PART IN TWISTED. THE BULLYING TAKES PART THROUGOUT THE WHOLE BOOK MAINLY WITH CHIP BULLYING TYLER. THE HAZING TAKES PART IN THE LOCKER ROOM WHEN YODA WAS BEING ATTACKED BY THE OTHER FOOTBALL PLAYERS. </li></ul>
  5. 5. BACKGROUND INFORMATION <ul><li>DID YOU KNOW THAT WHEN YOU ARE BULLIED, CHANCES ARE IT CAUSES YOU TO STRESS OUT. IN A SURVEY OVER 8000 TEENS WERE ASKED ABOUT STRESS. 51% OF TEENS SURVEYED SAID THAT THEY WERE STRESSED OUT. PEER PRESSURE STRESSORS ARE COMMON AND COULD INCLUDE BULLYING AND HAZING. </li></ul>
  6. 6. BACKGROUND INFO CON’T <ul><li>HAZING IS OFTEN USED BY SPORTS TEAMS. SPORTS TEAMS USE HAZING WHEN THEY HAVE A ROOKIE OR NEW PLAYER ON THE TEAM. THE MEMBERS OF THE TEAM WILL MAKE THE NEW PLAYER/ROOKIE DO MEAN AND EMBARRASING THINGS. SOMETIMES THE THINGS THEY HAVE TO DO ARE NOT EMBARRSING OR MEAN BUT ARE UNUSAL. AN EXAMPLE OF NON EMBARRSING OR MEAN, IS MAKING SOMEBODY CUT THEIR HAIR A CERTAIN WAY. MANY SCHOOLS ARE NOW HAVING HAZING MEETINGS IN THE BEGINNING OF THE SPORTS SEASON TO HELP DETER HAZING. </li></ul>
