Winners of a UK nationwide competition on world-renowned radio station BBC Radio 1 which saw them crowned 'the UK's Most Original Act' by the UK public, Kaya are a refreshing addition to the music scene both in the UK and abroad.The 5 piece live urban band have played all over the UK and Europe at events such as the BBC 1Xtra University Tour, Berlin Fashion Week and the Sony Radio Academy Awards, and have supported global chart-topping acts such as Sugababes and Ne-Yo. Kaya's popularity is even spreading to leading international music markets such as Japan where a variety of licensing deals have been offered by major labels for 2011.<br />Summer 2010 has seen amazing developments for the live Dubsters having been selected to be part of the multi-million dollar official launch of mobile music video streaming platform 'Audiotube' supported by phone manufacturer Nokia and Dolby. In September 2010 a Kaya performance at London's O2 Arena Loft venue will be filmed and broadcast to up to 50 million handsets worldwide. As part of the promotion the group are embarking on an Autumn UK tour in association with leading UK music magazine Kerrang with a track playlisted on Kerrang radio.<br />Kaya are an energetic 5-piece live group fusing together elements of HipHop, Ska, Soul, Pop, Indie, Jazz, Dubstep, Reggae and even some high-energy live band Drum and Bass!<br /><br /><br />

With the right combination of ingredients, these lot seem to have the recipe for success. ”<br />Kim O’ Conner, DJ Mag<br />True Ingredients live shows feature an explosion of rhymes, flows, and music with keyboards, decks and percussion from Fenna Rhodes, guitars from Josh Wah, bass from Millzy, drums from Steve O, and additional brass when there's space on stage! The band have been touring hard throughout 2009 and 2010.<br />They hosted their own stage at Glastonbury 09 with the Love Bullets Movement, performed in Trafalgar Square for London Peace Week, took the London Fashion Week after parties by storm throwing shades on the models and artists, went crowd surfing to people losing their minds at TM Base 09 Festival in Romania, Switzerland, Austria, France and all across the UK to name just a few of their recent live events.<br /><br />
  7. 7. Shea Soul has been in love with singing all her life. After studying at the BRIT she also developed a passion for writing. Coming across many like minded singers, she was discovered at 16 and placed into girl group ‘Che’. Sick of being told how to sing, what to wear and what to write about, Shea decided to go down the path to her career alone. Soon she was working with the likes of MJ Cole, guest starring on radio shows, doing P.A.’s over Europe, and being credited by those such as Trevor Nelson.<br />Shea has worked with the likes of Phil Asher, Reel People, Basement Jaxx, Simbad, Bugs in the Attic, Swindle, Funk Butcher and Mark de-Clive Lowe to name a few, and she’s performed and released singles all over the world.<br /><br />

When Radio 1’s Big Weekend came to Swindon in May 2009, Beatbullyz were booked to play by Huw Stephens. “Huw told us he’d never seen the BBC Introducing tent so rammed,” says Bozo, and Stephens remains one of the band’s most fervent supporters.
