Baldrige Model for Organizational Performance Excellence The Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award (MBNQA) is presented annually by the President of the United States to organizations that demonstrate quality and performance excellence. Three awards may be given annually in each of six categories: > Manufacturing > Service Companies > Small Business > Education > Healthcare > Nonprofit The Award Recipients are selected based on their achievement in seven areas known as the Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence: > Leadership > Strategic Planning > Customer and Market Focus > Measurement, Analysis and Knowledge Management > Employee Focus > Process Management > Business Results A team of highly trained examiners/evaluators will review the selected companies through a detailed examination of the documented performance and a physical examination on-site.
