'OMG' !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!~~THAT BELGIUM CHOCOLATE ON YOUR LAST SLIDE IS MY VERY VERY FAVORITE OF ALL TIME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ~~ YOUR PRESENTATION WAS JUST AMAZING !!! I ENJOYED YOUR EVERY WORD ON EVERY SLIDE ~~ HOW REFRESHING ~ஜ~ Spider :)
I love your creativity talking about your eating habits on slides. Keep firm to your healthy choices as I hope to see healthy recipes on slides you have picked up along the way. I tried but I don’t think that it is too popular. Maybe you can change that...
+!
I grew up with two brothers, no sisters.
My Dad was a better cook than my Mom was.
This resulted in a love for sweets and meat.
And eventually learn to fend for themselves in
the kitchen. I decided to learn the one thing
my Dad couldn’t do: bake. Freshly-made
sweets became more appealing to me.
As the only daughter, I felt obligated
to learn how to cook. I was taught that
decent meals were still steaks, chops,
ribs, and roasts.
My family loved
“man meals” but I
decided to try
cooking other things,
to the dismay
of my brothers.
ADD VARIETY!
KILL MONOTONY!
Meat meant pork
and beef. The words
chicken and fish did
not exist in their
vocabularies. I had
to do something.
“BALANCE THE OLD
AND THE NEW !
IN THE ONGOING
EFFORT!
TO STAY !
ALIVE.”!
~A Revolution in Eating!
I knew if I didn’t change my eating habits, my health would suffer.
I had to try. I had to stop eating like a 250-pound guy trapped in a little girl’s body.
THE AGE OF!
CULINARY!
EXPLORATION!
I gave up on converting
the two and starting
trying new things on my
own. I discovered I
actually did like some
vegetables, with other
things, of course. You’ll
never catch me eating
eggplants or boiled carrots.
I love shrimp and salmon.
NOT SO NUTS !
ABOUT BEING!
A HEALTH NUT!
My friends tried to fully
convert me to all
things whole-grain,
low-fat, low-calorie,
and sugar-free. It
was awful. Refreshing
for a while, but not
something I could
stand for too long.
So I bounce back and forth.
OLD HABITS !
DIE HARD!
THE QUEST FOR !
THAT HAPPY !
MEDIUM!
When I start to feel guilty, I try
incorporating other things into
my diet, like dairy. Yogurt and
cheese became staples. So did
milkshakes and ice cream.
LEARNING HOW!
TO SOFTEN THE BLOW!
To lessen the meat I eat,
I have rice. Lots of it. All kinds.
Fried rice, Risotto, Paella,
good ol’ Japanese rice.
Rice puddi…okay,
not rice pudding.
SWEETS !
TO BEAT!
If I couldn’t stand
eating vegetables,
I’d end up eating
fruit. Bananas and
strawberries get
me every time.
BUT SOMETIMES!
I REALLY JUST CAN’T!
HELP MYSELF.!
Thank God for chocolate.
