  1. 1. Abstract art is a type of art that is non-representational and non-objective. It has a meaning in it though. Abstract art is a visual form of communication using colours and texture. ABSTRACT ART!

  3. 3. How do people express themselves through abstract art?    <ul><li>People draw to express feelings by using different colours and textures. Even though abstract art is non-representational it does have a meaning in it. For example if the artist uses the colour red it could mean that the artist is angry and he is representing that he is angry in the painting. Also artist could express themselves free when they do abstract art. </li></ul>

(symbols) <ul><li>Red: Anger or love </li></ul><ul><li>Orange: Enthusiasm or success </li></ul><ul><li>Yellow: Joy or happiness </li></ul><ul><li>Green: Harmony or freshness </li></ul><ul><li>Blue: Loyalty or wisdom </li></ul><ul><li>Purple: Royalty or love </li></ul><ul><li>White: Is said to be a colour of perfection. </li></ul><ul><li>Black: Death or evil </li></ul>

Why do people use abstract art to express their feelings? <ul><li>People use abstract art to express their feelings so they can tell the person who is looking at the painting how they are feeling and what is going on in their life. It also could make them feel better. Such as when the artist is angry he could let all the anger out and start scribbling. </li></ul>
  6. 6. Do artist now and then use abstract art as a different way of expressing? <ul><li>No they do not. All the artist from different times uses the same way to express themselves and that is their feeling. But there are some differences that has happened over the years. </li></ul><ul><li>In the 19 th century most abstract arts was to express sadness and romanticism. </li></ul><ul><li>In the 20 th century a rtist used expressive use of colours, free and imaginative drawings. </li></ul><ul><li>In the 21 st century artist used different varieties of designs in their abstract art. </li></ul>
  7. 7. Who were the famous abstract artist ? <ul><li>Pablo Picasso is one of the most famous abstract artist. He also did cubism as well. Pablo Picasso mostly did his abstract art about women. If you look closely you could find a a figure of a women in the painting. I have asked some people who like art a question. <ul><li>Question: How do you think people express themselves by drawing abstract art? </li></ul><ul><li>My sister: “I think they use the colours that so those colours can express their feelings.” </li></ul><ul><li>My dad: “ I think different patterns express different feelings.” </li></ul><ul><li>Mrs Petterson: “ I think different colours, shapes and textures expresses different feelings.” </li></ul>
