      • To create a dual reputation as both musician and PR practitioner within the music industry.
      • To be known as an approachable PR resource for working musicians/bands online.
      • To grow musically by developing my online social network to seek out new projects and performance opportunities.

    4. How do I want to be known?
      • Be a music PR resource .
        • Have 10 subscribers to Sing.Dance.BreakThings by January 2010
        • Increase Twitter followers to 250 by April 30, 2010.
      • Be a well-known musician/vocalist working in the GTA .
        • Increase profile views on Myspace page to 5,500 by April 30, 2010
        • Have ten YouTube subscribers by March 2010

      • B.Mus in Jazz Studies
      • Currently a working professional musician
      • Have existing network of Toronto-area musicians
      • Creative with an analytical mind
      • Reputation as reliable and hard-working
      • Music teacher – Verbal communication skills
      • Current network is centered around Humber Music Alumni and is somewhat limited
      • Quick to judge a situation or problem
      • Stubborn
      • Most achievements are musical, not PR related
      Opportunities Threats
      • Can develop PR portfolio by working for emerging Humber Music Grads
      • Very few music grads go into PR. My degree makes me credible .
      • Artists want to work with someone who understands them
      • Everyone is a “musician”- lots of competition
      • Duality could cause confusion of one branded image and limit room for growth
      • Musical brand has existed for some time, might not be room for second career
    6. Why me? Strategy
      • I am a working musician. I live the life of my future clients.
      • I want to help artists develop their talent and brand so that making music can be their only career.
      • I have a strong creative side that is matched by strong analytical skills. Very few musicians have a willingness to understand the music industry, but I do.

      • Update gig calendar on a weekly basis.
      • Integrate content from YouTube and Blogger to increase hits on all three sites
      • Integrate YouTube into social media arsenal
      • Theme YouTube channel to match personal brand
      • Embed videos to Myspace and post on Twitter and Facebook
