  • There are tons of trash floating off the coast of California that create the Great Pacific Garbage Patch that is estimated to be twice the size of Hawaii. 80% of the debris is predicted to come from land based sources.
  • Volunteers such as the ones in Clean up and prevention of illegal dumping have collected hundreds of tons of trash, helping preserve our environment and the animals that live in it
