Oooooo scary.

Welcome to the heart. YAY!!
 3. 3. Anatomy of the heart

Blood comes back to the heart low in oxygen threw the Vena Cava. Then it goes to the Right Atrium and threw a vein to the Right Ventricle. Then it leaves the heart threw the Pulmonary Artery and goes to the lungs and drops off CO2 (carbon dioxide) to the Alveoli and picks up oxygen. Then it goes back to the heart threw the Pulmonary Vein and goes to the Left Atrium and Left Ventricle then leaves the heart threw the Aorta and brings oxygen to all the other body parts.

 4. 4. Anatomy of the heart pictures
 5. 5. How the heart works

The heart is the middle of the circulatory system. It delivers blood to all parts of your body.

The heart is a muscle that works like a pump distributing blood throughout the body.

The heart has four chambers two at the top (right atrium and left atrium) and two at the bottom (right ventricle and left ventricle) blood vessels lead in and out of these chambers.

 6. 6. How the heart works

Oxygenated blood from the lungs flows into your heart and is then pumped out to the rest of your body.

Once the blood has delivered the oxygen to the tissues of the body, it returns to your heart and gets pumped back out to the lungs where it will be reoxygenated.

 7. 7. Some common diseases in the heart

Heart disease- heart disease is any disorder that affects the hearts ability to function normally. The most common cause of heart disease is narrowing or blockage or the arteries which supply blood to the heart.

Heart attack- a heart attack occurs when blood flow to a section of heart muscle becomes blocked. If the blood flow isn't restored the section of the heart muscle becomes damaged from lack of oxygen and begins to die.

 8. 8. Some fun facts about the heart

The heat is one of the most important organs in the body

A normal heart beats 100,000 times a day. (wow that’s a lot =])

The heart pumps 5,000 to 6,000 quarts of blood each day.

 9. 9. Thanks for visiting the heart. YAY!!

Well that’s the heart and you have learned a lot about it: the anatomy of the heart, how it works, some common diseases of the heart, and some fun facts about the heart. Well thanks for visiting and back soon. 
