What We Learnt - Presentation Transcript

    1. Web 2.0: Easier, Faster, Friendlier What We Learnt, or Surprising Results
    2. Why did we run this program? I can't wait to feel so much more confident in these web terms and not feel like I’m in the dark when talking to the younger generation, also to enhance my skills in fact finding for future assignments.
    3. How did we run the program? Option 1: 6 weeks 1.5 hour workshops 2-3 things per workshop Option 2: 2 weeks 5.5 hour (half day including lunch) workshops 6 then 8 things per workshop

      What Did We Teach?
    6. How did we teach? 8 Staff members took on one or two ‘ things ’ . Each thing had a ‘ blog post ’ which explained why we were teaching it, how we were going to teach it, and where to go for more information. The same staff member then took the workshop on their ‘ thing ’ .

I have been too scared to use these very useful tools. if you did not point me in the right direction I would be still too scared to use them.  even the tools that I don't feel very confident with I will go away and play with them and hopefully put them to use. thanks very much
    15.
    16. So what did WE learn? Short is sweet. The things should be constantly in beta mode. Involve staff from all areas of the library. Networking during the breaks.
