  • 2. The Writing ProcessO These are the steps in the writing process: O Pre-Writing O Drafting O Editing O Revising O PublishingO Right now, we’re in the Editing/Revising phase. O Editing is correcting your draft for spelling and grammatical errors O Revising is more about the ideas in your writing

Revising How ToO Revising is taking the time to re-read your original work O You may want to add more information to your story, change the order of your paragraphs, or choose more descriptive words O You might want to double check that your writing is clear and organized. O Are there gaps in your writing? O Is anything confusing or left out?
  • 4. EditingO Editing is about the mechanics of your writing O Spelling errors O Punctuation O Capitalization errors O Grammar and sentence structureO Remember, spell and grammar check doesn’t catch everything, so it’s vital that you read your drafts over carefully
  • 5. What’s next?O You’ve received a lot of input on your paper throughout this process. O Now you’ll have a chance to integrate these notes into a polished draft O You will also add a visual to your paper, and add any information you need to based on that visual
