Don’t do everything at once.
Start with the end in mind; before you commence decide what you want out of it. Remember: You want a Job!
See what the web says about you.
(Google yourself or use 123people , pipl , or wink )
Know what you want - decide what job?, what position?, sector?, what country?
Register your name as a domain just in case you want it later.
Fill out key profiles and choose your profile pictures wisely (Linkedin is a must).
Conduct a people search instead of a job search
Find out who is the hiring manager at the company you want to work for. Search through corporate groups, pages and people on Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin. Then connect with that person.
When sharing private content always use privacy controls to limit access to your information.
Start observing; follow your favourite companies on Linkedin and Twitter, join their Facebook page.
Start participating to attract job opportunities. Produce content, engage in discussion, always record your name .
Build and nourish your network of contacts but don’t make friends with everyone and anyone.
Portray yourself professionally in all forums.
B e patient & consistent.
Know your stuff.
