    1. International Space Station By: Karl Jorissen & Nils Lefevre
    2. The Beginning • The first part of the station was scheduled to launch from Russia • Because of problems, the launching of the first section was pushed back to 1998.
    3. Troubles • Techinical problems • Delayed until 2001 • $ problems
    4. 2003 • Disaster: Colombia Space Shuttle
    5. 2005 Still problems:  Staff  Supplies Though: NASA sends shuttle to ISS
    6. 2006 • Future construction and mission planning • Objective: allowing six-person crew
    7. 2009 • Completion: American segment Power-generating section
    8. Importance • US history • studying outer- space
