13. 13.

Step 9

For those who feel any symptoms of the flu, stay at home full rest, drink plenty and maintain usual diet.

 14. 14. How to Avoid the Swine Flu

The swine flu is a real concern for nearly everyone world wide however, there is no need to panic. The vast majority of people who do get the swine flu make a full recovery in a few days with no lasting effects. There are certain precautions you can take to reduce your risk of catching the swine flu and also reducing the severity of the illness should you be become sick.

 15. 15. Step 1

Wash your hands. This may sound like common knowledge however, most people do not properly wash their hands or wash them frequently enough to prevent illness. Antibacterial soap has not proven to actually kill any more germs than regular soap and can irritate sensitive skin. So, don't be too concerned with they type of soap you use, focus more on the way you wash your hands and the frequency you wash throughout the day. You should wash your hands for around 1 full minute with warm, soapy water throughout the day- before contact with food, after contact with the public, and of course after you use the restrooms.

 16. 16. Step 2

Stay home if you are sick. This is not a time to be playing the hero. If you are sick, avoid contact with others as much as possible. Stay home from work, stay away from stores and other public places (yes, the world will be ok without you for a day or two).

 17. 17. Step 3

Keep your kids home from school. If your child has a fever or flu like symptoms, keep them away from other children. This is a huge way germs and sickness is spread. If you are in doubt, keep your child home.

 18. 18. Step 4

Look after the elderly. If you have a Grandparent, elderly neighbor or friend, check on them often and try to remind them to wash their hands and keep their living area as free from germs as possible (remember to be tactful to keep their pride in tact).

 19. 19. Step 5

Finally, if you do get sick, do not panic. If you do come down with the swine flu, make sure to see your doctor first. Then, take your vitamins, drink lots of water, and get lots of rest. This will make a difference in your recovery.

 20. 20. How to Avoid Contraction of the Swine Flu:

Step 1 Mexicans Wearing Mask for Protection of the Deadly Virus beaware of the symptoms of the Swine Influenza. Knowing the Symptoms ahead of time can prevent totality of the disease in taking over your body. If you are just coughing or sneezing more than normal, it is still pretty smart to make an appointment with your practitioner to make sure that you are in the clear.

 21. 21.

There are antiviral vaccine's available call Tamiflu or Relenza. Remember the vaccine must be inside of your body within the first 48 hours for immediate results. The "Major" Symptoms that you should be familiar with are: (importantly) high fever, sore throat, coughing, sneezing, vomiting, diarrhea, body aches and chills. These are all symptoms of the basic flu.

 22. 22. Step 2

Try your best to stay away from large crowds: Gyms, parks, museums, grocery stores, etc.... The virus can spread from human to human, airborne or touch transfers are extremely possible.

 23. 23. Step 2

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), a sneeze can travel 100 miles an hour, reaching 5 to 30 feet depending on the temperature. Evidence also shows that the virus can linger on tabletops and telephones due to the exposure of the hands, mouth and nose.

 24. 24. Step 3

Sanitizing your hands Frequently (especially after shaking hands) is very important* Wash hands vigorously and consistently. When coughing or sneezing, be adamant in covering your nose and mouth (not with hands but with arms).

 25. 25. Step 3

This is the most important step because it not only prevent contraction but it also prevents transmission. Evidence also shows that washing your hands after being exposed to the public can actually prevent the virus from spreading.
