  • 2. Invertebrate animals
    • They do not have skeleton inside their bodies.
    • Invertebrate animals also have different groups.
  • 3. The insect
    • Insects have six legs.
    • They have three body-parts. They have:
    • a head,
    • a thorax
    • and an abdomen.
  • 4. The bee
    • The bee is an insect.
  • 5. The bee
    • It has three body parts: head, thorax, abdomen.
    • It has six joined legs,
    • and a pair of wings.
    • It breathes through an air-tube system.
    • The bee is yellow and black in color.
  • 6. Bees live in a hive.
  • 7.
    • There are three different kinds of bee:
    • the queen,
    • the drone,
    • the worker.
  • 8. The worker
    • The workers do all the work.
    • Older workers have special tasks.
    • They collect nectar and pollen from flowers.
    • The worker bee has a sting.
  • 9.
    • They suck up nectar with their long tongues.
  • 10.
    • Then they store it in a special stomach where the nectar turns into honey.
    • They have a basket near their hind legs where they put the pollen.
  • 11. The drone
    • Drones are the father bees.
    • They are very lazy.
    • The worker bees have to feed them.
  • 12. The queen
    • Only one queen lives in each hive.
  • 13.
    • The worker bees takes care of her.
    • Her only task is to lay eggs.
