So, What is a Brand??
A Brand is a tool in the business world that is used to describe a product..
When you see these brands you associate a set of expectations with them
For Example..
Nike: High Quality Sports Wear
McDonalds: Fast Service, Good Food
Apple: Cutting Edge Technology
In this session you will learn how to create a Brand for yourself!
Think about the following people who have branded themselves..
Branding yourself helps you define what/who you are all about.
Its not about getting someone to choose you over your competitor
Its about them seeing you as the ONLY person for the job.
So lets design a plan to make you famous…
So, How do you go about branding yourself??
Here’s an 8 step process..
Step 1. Self Reflection.(This will help you figure out where you need to improve)
2.List down your achievements- Leadership opportunities Internships Volunteer Experiences Civic Involvement Academic achievements Etc. (Give yourself credit, If you think you’ve done achieved something, list it down)
2. List down areas in which you are lacking experience…..
4. What makes you as a product unique? What is your best asset?? What are you noteworthy for?? What do you contribute that you are most proud of?? (This will help you figure out the kind of edge you have other the others)
5. Prepare a mission statement for yourself For Example: “My personal career mission is to become a world class aeronautical engineer in the commercial aviation inductry” “My personal career mission is to gain experience in the public accounting field toward earning my CPA designation” (With a mission, you will have direction for where you want your brand to go)
6. Prepare a vision statement for yourself The vision statement mentions HOW you plan to achieve your mission . (With a mission, you will have direction for where you want your brand to go)
7. Make yourself an attractive product.
8. Create your Dream Resume!!
