School Year 2008 - 2009

Due to the large number of children in Fundão, there was a need to establish a new school in 1995. It was called “ Escola Básica 2/3 do Fundão ” and it functioned in the old building of “ Escola Industrial ”. The school opened with seven classes of years 5 and 7.

The school moved to its present site in1996 which is situated right at the foot of Gardunha Mountain, giving the school’s name.
