Network: (a) LAN components such as Switch router, LAN Cables, routers for wireless LAN, etc. (b) In case multi-location units consider cost of fixed (static) I. P. address (from ISP) 3.   6. 6. 4. Licensed software: Most management conveniently thinks that the same is free. One has to plan carefully and phase out the pirated versions ASAP [if any]. a. Sever Operating System: Microsoft Windows 200x Sen/ er OS with minimum five user licenses and more depending on the concurrent number of users. b. Operating System on nodes (client PCs). Microsoft Windows XP or MS Win2KP (but not Windows 98, please). I As many copies required as many computers. Usually this comes preinstalled with the PC (as OEM copy). c. Database or RDBMS software — Microsoft SQL 2000 Server with adequate number of concurrent users. d. MS Office (MS Excel spreadsheet software). As many copies are required as many number of user who would require using MS Excel. e.
