- rise to power 509 - 27 BC
- Empire
- 27 BC - 1453 AD, 1806 AD
- Rome itself “fell” in 476 AD
๏ I’m obviously going to over-simplify almost
everything.

Greek descent, left on banks of the Tiber
๏ Grow up among the locals
๏ They both found the city, later named
Rome
