About Jill Van Wyke is an assistant professor of journalism at Drake University. Before joining Drake, she was a reporter and editor at the Des Moines Register for nearly 12 years. She teaches courses in news reporting and writing, editing, magazine journalism, multimedia, visual communication and journalism history.
