1. Magazine Ads By Justin Hathaway Introduction: In this PowerPoint I will be showing the analysis of four magazine adds in which I will be explaining how the ad is working by telling (1) the basic human need it is appealing to, (2) the marketing technique it is using, (3) how the ad is framed to catch the viewers attention.
2. Honda Human need; love. The wording of the ad expresses a owners relationship with the car as long lasting. Marketing technique; Values Association. This ad implies that a Honda will have a long life and be very reliable which is a positive value/ characteristic. The value would be faith because you have faith that the Honda you have will live a long life. Framing of the ad; the viewer sees a nice and active neighborhood which relates well to the value association marketing technique . It helps the viewer to believe that a new Honda fits well with the values of the nice neighborhood.

4. Marketing Technique; values association. Old people can’t really drink a lot of sugar so the value would be freedom because the person can be free to do what he wants-to drink soda again.

6. Marketing Technique; value association. The ad indicates that by using UPS your company will be more efficient, more popular and more effective. One could also point to a strategy of using weasel words such as “Faster”. The value would be power because by getting your products shipped faster, you have more power in the market.
9. Framing of the ad; The pictures of high tech equipment quickly catches the eye of the viewer and the text again talks about a job in the NAVY as exhilarating.
