Background of Dr. King
Martin Luther King was born in Atlanta Georgia in 1929. He was the middle child born to his parents. Martin Luther King was a very smart student and he entered high school early. Martin Luther King attended Morehouse College. After college Martin Luther King married Coretta Scott, and they had four children, 2 sons and 2 daughters. In 1955, he earned a doctorate degree in Philosophy.
Also in 1955 was when the Montgomery Bus Boycott took place. Ms. Rosa Parks would not give up her after a hard day of work. She was arrested because of her decision. Martin Luther King was known for his “I Have a Dream Speech” in 1963. The speech was to end racism. Martin Luther King was a Civil Rights Activist, and a leader who believed in equality for everyone. Martin Luther King was killed in 1968 during his stay at a hotel in Memphis, Tennessee.
I learned that Martin Luther King would not give up on his dream. If he was still alive things would be different he would tell kids to not give up on your dream cause anything is possible.
