      • Accurately estimated amount of inventory of Colgate products in the trade following 1970 peso devaluation
      • Develop macroeconomic formula for Planters Products to determine fertilizer consumption in any given year.
      • Sold record US$ One Billion in passenger and cargo sales for PAL in 1989 despite three (3) aircraft incidents.
      • Reduce travel agency receivables industry wide from 90 to 22 days by instituting Bank Settlement Plan (BSP).
      • Such BSP was replicated in the ASEAN countries, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Australia, New Zealand.
      • Co-conceptualized Family Ties, a travel plan to enable overseas Filipino to come home when spouse, child or parent dies, all for $100 a year! Marketed by Manor Management Corp. back up by Manila Banker’s Life

    64. He dabbled into construction in Ayala Alabang Masterpiece Real Estate Corporation, was the Chairman and Treasurer, built and sold seven (7) high-end residential houses in Ayala Alabang
    65. and Punta Fuego, Nasugbu, Batangas 1999
    66. and tried his hands in hydroponics lettuce.
    67. He represented Singapore General Hospital in the Philippines
    68. and eventually landed a job as Executive Assistant to the President of Makati Medical Center where he presided over Kris Aquino's attending doctors at the birth of James Jr.

    72. In 1980, as Charter President of the Rotary Club of Las Pinas, Rene tapped 100 Rotary Clubs in the USA to donate elementary school books to schools in Luzon through the facilities of  both American and Filipino Rotarians.

    74. In one poolside meeting of the Rotary Club of Paranaque, Rene dared each Rotarian to donate 10 pesos per lap that he can make for the Club's community projects. Unbeknownst to every one that he was a marathon swimmer, by the time Rene was on his 30th lap, a rope was thrown to retrieve him.  With 60 Rotarians multiplied by 10 pesos multiplied by 30 laps, he had raised P18,000 in 30 minutes.
    75. The government had just taken over Philippine Airlines and it needed a marketing man to expand the network with the new Boeing 747s.
    76. It expanded its fleet.

    80. Before he got involved with Spirit of Manila Airlines last year, Rene joined his wife Olive in regularly feeding the wards of Elsie Gaches Village every Thursday morning.
