A review of my grand canyon bus tour

  1. 1. A Review of My Grand Canyon Bus Tour Presented by Julie Rainierhttp://www.grandcanyonbusdeals.com/compare-grand-canyon-bus-tours.html
  2. 2. Bus Tours - IntroductionIt isnt a holiday in Vegas if you dont visit the West Rim of theGrand Canyon by bus. I recently booked a prolonged version ofthis trip and I was thoroughly pleased. Here is a review of mytrip:
  3. 3. Bus Tours - DepartureThe bus operator arranged to pick me up at 7 a.m. I was fine withthat. The slot machines were robbing me. The shuttle service wasright on time. I joined other travelers for a coffee and a Danishand off we went.
  4. 4. Bus Tours - Luxury CoachTodays luxury bus is a miracle of automotive technologicalinnovation. These buses are sleek, $500,000 machines. Mine wasoutfitted with super-comfy seats, personal climate-controlstations, a spotless rest room, and seven TVs that played adocumentary about Grand Canyon West.
  5. 5. Bus Tours - AmenitiesEach one of us got a pair of earphones. I used mine to listen to apre-recorded tour narration. It was fascinating. I felt it markedlyimproved my experience. Other "extras" that I felt mattered wasthe cup holder, fold out seat arm and the food tray. These itemsmay seem insignificant but I found them very helpful.
  6. 6. Bus Tours - The RouteGrand Canyon West is 120 miles from Las Vegas. Takes about2.5 hours to get there. The beginning of the trip takes in theHoover Dam and Lake Mead. My tour bundled a photo stop atthe Dam on the Arizona side. Its amazing how far the water levelmoved down. The view of the new Bypass Bridge is excellentfrom here, too.
  7. 7. Bus Tours - The RouteThe very last 10 miles of the ride was on a harsh dirt road. Theluxury coach I was on handled it like a champ. I thought tomyself, "I wouldnt want to drive this stretch myself." I have togive props to our driver for adeptly driving this section.
  8. 8. Bus Tours - UpgradeMy bus tour included a chopper ride and boat trip. Additionaloptions include Glass Bridge tickets, a boat ride and a standardground tour of the rim.I transferred over to the heli and made the 4,000-foot descent tothe base. It was outstanding. Id describe it as one huge canyoncarve. At the base, I enjoyed a Champagne picnic. Then Iembarked on my Grand Canyon rafting trip, which turned out tobe a completely enjoyable smooth-water float ride downColorado River.
  9. 9. Bus Tours - On the GroundI rejoined my fellow bus adventurers at the top of the rim. Ioverheard a pair from the United Kingdom rave about EaglePoint and Guano Point. My seatmate announced how amazing theSky Walk was, showing me a picture of her "catching air" at theend of it.
  10. 10. Bus Tours - RSVPBuy your canyon bus tours from Vegas online. There arenumerous operators available who would like your business. Thus the price wars. That said, try to make sure your package hasa stop at the Hoover Dam. Scheduling before hand should alsohelp get you the very best rate.
  11. 11. Bus Tours - SummaryThese Grand Canyon tour bus excursions to the West Rim last ahalf day. If you make plans in Vegas for the nighttime, it is bestto push them to 8 p.m. Be conservative on this. I was verysatisfied with my bus trip. I saw everything as promised andmuch more, and give my my road trip two thumbs up.
