  • Foto de grupo ante el monumento a los caidos en la ! Guerra Mundial Por la calle se venden amapolas en beneficio de los veteranos de guerra.

  • El puerto de Liverpool se sitúa en el estuario del río Mersey. El muelle del puerto de Liverpool se reformó en los años 90 (Albert Dock, con museos, hoteles etc) Liverpool fue capital europea de cultura en 2008, y se construyeron auditorios, nuevos edificios etc que podemos apreciar en su skyline
  • Hamilton square fue financiada por un rico ciudadano, John Haird, en el s. XIX. Fue dañada por los bombardeos de la 2 Guerra Mundial. El diseño de la plaza es cuadrangular, con jardín central donde se sitúa el monolito de la reina Victoria y el de los caidos en las 2 guerras Mundiales (con coronas de amapolas, por celebrarse Rday). Las casas georgianas,todas de diseño diferente, aunque con el mismo estilo: con upstairs y downstairs (dependencias para los criados).Numerosas chimeneas en cada vivienda. Ayuntamiento (hoy Wirral Museum).

      • On Sunday nearest to 11th November ,UK remember the people who died in First and Second World War.
      • British people wear a poppy and military parades took place.

      • We crossed the Mersey river stuary to Birkenhead, on the left riverbank.
      • We can see the skyline of modern Liverpool from the ferry
    • 5. Hamilton square in Birkenhead
      • We visited, in Birkenhead city Hamilton square, an example of georgian architecture.
      • In the middle of the square, there is a monolite honouring people who died in 1st and 2nd World War, with poppy crowns from Remembrance Day.
