We have to start seeing the effect of culture and media on our emotional and physical states. We have to become accountable for how we think and feel. We have to look at alternatives openly and honestly.
Which means we need to see medicine and ourselves differently. We have to see the interconnectedness of everything in the world and to understand ourselves as energetic beings.
Our culture facilitates the idea that we can make things better (read: safer, prettier, more successful etc…) by being more beautiful, snipping off parts of our bodies, or having more “stuff.” Disease to a homeopath is a symptom of an energetic disturbance. It does not exist independent of the man. It cannot be cured by suppressing it, cutting it out, or covering it up. Think of a balloon…if we blow it up and squeeze, the air just shoves itself over to a side. Squeeze it enough and it pops. We cannot cure a disease by getting rid of its symptoms.
Proper discharge and ultimate cure— the full restoration of health and vitality to the human being. What is health to a homeopath? Adaptability Vitality (a will to live and love) Integrity of Function (consistency along all levels)
The vital force : the spirit-like life force that enlivens the material organism as dynamis, governs without restriction and keeps all parts of the organism in admirable, harmonious, vital operation as regards both feelings and functions, so that our indwelling, rational spirit can freely avail itself of this living, healthy instrument for the higher purpose of our existence. Samuel Hahnemann The Organon, 9
THE POTENTIZED DOSE. Homeopathic medicines are substances that are diluted and succussed (shaken) over and over until they are properly “potentized” energetically. They are available in tincture or pellets.
NEWS ITEM Those little bottles you see hold more than you thought according to a recent study by Nobel Prize Winner, Luc Montagnier, a French virologist who co-discovered HIV. They demonstrated that bacterial DNA sequences were able to induce electromagnetic waves at high aqueous dilutions. The aqueous solutions were agitated and serially diluted (potentized!). The electromagnetic signature changed with dilution levels but was unaffected even when the DNA fragments were destroyed. This study was reported in Interdisciplinary Sciences: Computational Life Sciences, 1: 81- 90 This means: Water has memory and can retain the energetic signature of a substance even when that substance itself is gone. These micro-doses are used to stimulate the individuals vital force to help heal itself.
HOMEOPATHIC MEASURES OF PRACTICE. 1. Interior Function 2. Exterior Function 3. Physiological Function 4. Spiritual Function A person who is not healthy on these levels is not considered cured.

THE COURSE OF HEALING: Hering’s Law Takes disease from inside out, from top down, and from the present to the past.
The Manner of Healing: Like Cures Like or… The Law of Similars.
The Law of Similars This is the cornerstone of all good medicine and can be traced back to Hippocrates in 400 BC and Paracelsus in 1600 CE. It was brought back to life by Samuel Hahnemann more than 200 years ago when he repeatedly ingested quinine and found that it caused in him all the symptoms of Malaria without the actual disease. He determined that that “like” process, that law of similars, is why quinine was able to cure Malaria. Thus began his exploration into the healing properties of hundreds of substances using a technique he called “proving.” The simplest example of this law is something we do everyday. When you get grease on your hands, how do you clean it? With soap, which is made of fat.
A BRIEF HISTORY OF HOMEOPATHY: “ Idiots & Sons of Mongrels” Hahnemann was a passionate man and an extraordinary genius with little tolerance for the foolishness and stubbornness of his day. He called the physicians who used cupping and bleeding as forms of treatment “Idiots and sons of mongrels.” He could not tolerate the practices they called medicine and gave it up as he developed the system we now call classical homeopathy. In the meantime, he supported his family by translating medical texts from a multitude of different languages.
This is the medicine of Hahnemann’s day. And if they weren’t draining patients of blood, they were using purgatives and caustic agents to suppress anything they saw.
