Did you know that 99 percent of the minerals in the world are used in heavy industries to make fertilisers and ceramics? This leaves less than 1 percent for humans and animals to consume. Quality control of Alltech feed ingredients was developed in response to a risk evaluation including issues or concerns in the industry, from salmonella to toxins in animal feed. Dioxin and PCB contamination in inorganic minerals poses one of the major risks to the food chain. This risk prompted us to develop the Bioplex Q+ (Quality Plus) process, our mineral quality control programme unique to Bioplex Trace Minerals.
In September 2010 Alltech stepped up to be the Title Sponsor of the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games, and in doing so dawned a new era for the company.
